A Church at the Crossroads
If you are looking for an inclusive, bible-based and theologically-forward church at the crossroads, Brown's Corners may well be the spiritual community for you!
Weekly Sunday services are at 9:30 a.m. generally led by the Rev. Warren Schell.
You might wonder! Why are people coming to the crossroads to go to church? It's because they like what they find when they arrive at Brown's Corners - a "country" church in the city, a small, friendly, up-to-date congregation of committed and caring Christians. It's a rare find!
Brown's Corners is generous in its support of local and world-wide ministries, and many of our members are active volunteers in a variety of church and community settings. We worship at the crossroads. But we also volunteer and assist at the crossroads of human need and justice concerns.
Since we've been here for a long time, Brown's Corners United Church also finds itself at an historic crossroads . Founded in 1842, Brown's Corners was a vibrant village church, in a thriving rural community. But during the past few decades, the neighborhood around our church has been transformed. The farms have been transformed to include an airport, hotels, restaurants and shopping malls. We are surrounded by a sea of business, corporate and industrial enterprise. We sense God's Spirit calling us to this new and unexplored crossroads - ministry in the workplace! How does the shape and style of our ministry need to change, in order to meet the emerging needs of the twenty-first century? You can be a part of this exciting venture!
